Every year for Lent our family gives up sugar, so on Fat Tuesday we had lots of it! Adia and I decided to make banana bread, and had so much fun! Don't tell her Daddy that I let her eat the raw batter!

Fun in the Valley of the Sun!

Here in the Valley of the Sun, we have been having temperatures in the 80's, so we have been taking advantage of them. One thing we love to do is to go on walks. Adia loves to feed the ducks and and visit "Ariel," a mermaid sculpture in our neighbors pool. Ellie loves to go along for the ride, and enjoys being outside. I fear with the temps this high already in March that we may have a long, hot summer in store. For now though, we will enjoy it!

Our visit to the Aquarium

Chad had the day off today, so we decided to visit the Sealife Aquarium in Tempe. We told Adia that we were going to see all the animals and fish that live in the ocean, and with pure joy she asked, "will Sponge Bob be there?" We chuckled a bit but told her we could make no promises, but only hope that Sponge Bob was not "sleeping." We enjoyed our visit, and the girls just loved the aquarium.

Video of Elliana's 1st Year

Elliana Grace turns One!

It is hard to believe that our baby girl is a year old. It seems like only yesterday that we brought her home. Elliana is a petite girl, weighing in at 18 lbs 10 oz, but she is VERY tall at 30 inches. Each day has been a blessing to watch her grow and to explore the world around her. Ellie is very laid back like her Daddy and there aren't many things that ruffle her feathers. Don't be mistaken though, she may be quiet, but she has a strong presence. Ellie has no interest in walking...you see, she is smart and knows that she can get what she wants through us!

We celebrated Elliana's Birthday with friends and family. Ellie was so happy and had an amazing time! Thank you to everyone who shared her first birthday with us!
